🌿                                      How I Work With Adults in Counselling

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore whatever is happening in your life, at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My way of working is collaborative and grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine curiosity about your experience. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need, and I work in a trauma‑informed and strengths‑based way that prioritises safety, choice, and empowerment.
My aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply, make sense of your emotions and patterns, and find ways of coping that feel authentic and sustainable.

Issues I Support

Anxiety and Depression
I help people explore the thoughts, feelings, and life experiences that contribute to low mood or persistent worry. Together, we look at what’s driving these feelings and work on building resilience, self‑understanding, and healthier ways of coping.

Trauma
I work in a trauma‑informed way that acknowledges how past experiences can shape present‑day emotions, behaviours, and relationships. I support you in processing your experiences safely, rebuilding a sense of stability, and reconnecting with your strengths.

Bereavement and Loss
I offer a compassionate space where you can express grief in whatever form it takes. This may involve navigating complex emotions, adjusting to life after loss, and finding ways to honour what has been lost while moving forward.

Self‑Esteem and Confidence
I support people in challenging unhelpful beliefs, recognising their strengths, and developing a more compassionate relationship with themselves. This often includes exploring identity, boundaries, and personal values.

Gender Identity and Related Issues
I provide an affirming environment where you can explore your gender identity, expression, and any challenges that may arise in relationships, work, or society. My focus is on supporting authenticity, self‑understanding, and wellbeing.

Neurodivergence
I work with neurodivergent adults — whether formally diagnosed or self‑identified — to understand their experiences, needs, and strengths. This may include exploring sensory preferences, communication styles, executive functioning, or the impact of masking and societal expectations.

The Heart of My Work
At the centre of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you make sense of your experiences. I encourage self‑compassion, emotional awareness, and personal growth, helping you move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
